Governance, Peace and Security (GPS-SHaSA) project
This project is part of the continent-wide Strategy for the Harmonisation of Statistics in Africa (SHaSA) launched by the African Union Commission with the scientific support from researchers of DIAL research unit. The pilot started with ten countries where GPS-SHaSA data was collected from 2013. To date, seventeen countries joined the movement.
Governance, Peace and Security (GPS-SHaSA) surveys are conducted by NSOs and the modules are usually included in employment surveys. For more information, see for instance Razafindrakoto & Roubaud (2018).
The GPS-SHaSA consists in training (Governance, Peace and Security School), data analyses (technical reports and research articles), dissemination.
GDRI-Sud Measure and Observe Violence (MOV)
Project funded by the French National Research Institute for Development (IRD), coordinated by Olivia Bertelli (DIAL-LEDa, Université Paris-Dauphine). Household and individual surveys to improve the measure of conflict-related violence and gender-based violence in Peru, Mali and DRC.
